Final preparations are underway for a spectacular concert this Sunday evening, 3 February 2013 at 7pm on the Shelley Beach Foreshore.
The Canning World Arts Exchange concert features Chinese Beijing LDTX Dance Company performing with local Nyoongar Aboriginal Visual Artists creating illuminated floating sculptures for the majestic Canning River. Additional performances by the Danza Viva Spanish Dance Company, Wadumba Dance Group, Chung Wah Lion Dance. This evening of spectacular live music and dance will culminate with the Fremantle Symphony Orchestra and the 150 Voice UWA Choral Society singing the magnificent Carmina Burana, led by conductor Chris van Tuinen.
The concert is free. Come early to browse the many Art Gallery stalls showcasing great Indigenous art.
Bring your folding chairs and enjoy a picnic under the stars.
